Wolves Rumours: July 29th

Wolves still chasing Nunes but player isn’t convinced

Wolves are reportedly hoping to convince Sporting’s Matheus Nunes to join the club this weekend when the two clubs face each other in Portugal according to Correio da Manhã.

It’s said Wolves had an offer of €45m + €5m in bonuses ready but Nunes preferred to wait for other options.

It’s a transfer saga that has been dragging on for the whole window and it looks set to continue.

Conflicting reports in Portugal have suggested that Wolves have already bid for the player and other reports suggest that Wolves are yet to table a bid – but the only consistency between these reports is that Nunes is reportedly not keen on a move to Molineux.

It’s unlikely that Wolves will be spending such money on one player, without the departure of the likes of Ruben Neves or Morgan Gibbs-White.

It’s understood Wolves do hold an interest in the player but it’s unlikely that the club will make a move for the player at this stage.

‘Agreement’ in place for Chilean wonderkid

It’s reported that there is ‘already an agreement’ in place with Wolves to sign Dario Osorio according to reports in Chile.

It’s unknown whether this agreement is between the clubs or just Wolves and the player.

The same report suggests the player is open to a move abroad.

Wolves were said to have made an improved offer for Osorio – having had a bid of €3.5m rejected for the 18-year-old.

Hoffenheim allow defender to leave if Wolves meet demands

Hoffenheim are reportedly ‘ready to allow’ Stefan Posch to leave the club and join Wolves if his €10m valuation is met according to Kicker in Germany.

The Austrian can play both as a centre back or right back.

With the addition of Nathan Collins, it’s unlikely that Wolves would move for another centre back – unless the likes of Toti Gomes or Yerson Mosquera are sent out on loan.

However, Wolves may look to someone like Posch to provide cover at right back too, with Ki Jana-Hoever leaving the club on loan.

Midfielder could leave Wolves this season

Wolves are reportedly ready to loan out midfielder Luke Cundle amid interest from multiple EFL clubs according to Footy Insider.

Cundle made four appearances for Wolves last season.

Wolves are light in central midfield so letting Cundle leave on loan could indicate Wolves are working on midfield targets.

Corbeanu leaves on loan

Theo Corbeanu has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.

Corbeanu has also signed a new four year deal at Molineux.

The Canadian international had featured throughout Wolves’ pre season but it’s understood first team football is the priority for the 20-year-old.

Lonwijk joins Pilgrims on loan

Nigel Lonwijk has joined League One Plymouth Argyle on a season long loan.

The 19-year-old has also penned a new deal until 2025 – with an option of an additional year in the clubs favour.
