Wolves player ratings after a 1-1 draw against Burnley

Wolves and Burnley met for a Premier League clash that, depending on results next season, could be either sides last for some time. With 19th place on the line, and with nothing else really at stake, you’d expect both sides to really go at it with freedom.

Rob Edwards set Wolves up to win the game and the attacking threat was there, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough to get them over the line. Follow on for the player ratings.

Jose Sa – 8

Whilst not exemplary with his passing, Sa made a number of key saves to keep Wolves in the game. In what could be his last, Sa showed up and played well.

Yerson Mosquera –  6

It was another marmite display from the Wolves defender. At times he defended well and showed his passion, but he would equally give the ball away and make the wrong decisions when moving it forward. Depending on how the window goes, it may be that a year in the Championship will do him wonders.

Santi Bueno – 6

An assured display from Santi, nothing to write home about but most Wolves fans are used to his level of composure. Most fans would love to keep around for sure.

Ladislav Krejci – 6

Wasn’t at fault for Flemming’s strike and made some good passes going forward. Another player with question marks around his future but would do incredibly will in the Championship.

David Moller Wolfe – 6

DMW played well in his final Premier League game and put in some good tackles and defensive work. Whilst it wasn’t his best game going forward, he was decent today.

Rodrigo Gomes – 6

It has been a stop start season for RG, having incredible impact-sub form and then not playing particularly well – but in his advanced role he looked bright. Mané should have picked him out on a few occasions but he was in the right places and moved forward well.

André – 6

He could have scored six own goals and Wolves fans would probably still sing his name. Such is the André way, he won the ball back several times and kept Wolves secure in the middle.

Angel Gomes – 4

Anonymous on and off the ball, fans will be questioning what his role was on the pitch and whether he actually wants to be here. A strange one, really.

Mateus Màne – 7

Mané was great today. Hearing that he wants to be here next season and wants to get Wolves back to the top-level is one thing, but he showed he has the ability to do it. Perhaps greedy in moments, but Wolves have seriously lacked a danger-man that can just take it to teams and if Mané wants to be that guy, let him.

Hwang Hee Chan – 5

Hwang played well in the first half, but did become relatively obsolete in the second. He’s always had good moments in him but his inconsistencies make the likely end to his Wolves career feel negative.

Adam Armstrong – 7

Absolutely buried his penalty and always makes great runs. It’s pretty clear that he’ll be great in the Championship, four goal contributions in half a Premier League season tell you that. Another decent display from the Striker.
