Wolves Rumours: 4th August

Everton interested in signing Wolves captain Conor Coady

Frank Lampard wants to sign Wolves captain Conor Coady according to Alan Myers.

It’s not yet clear whether Wolves are willing to let Coady go or for what price.

Coady, who’s been at the club for seven years has been the beating heart of Wolves’ revival but with Bruno Lage moving to a back four and the signing of Nathan Collins, Coady’s minutes may be limited.

The Express and Star have also confirmed that Wolves would be willing to let Coady leave permanently or on loan but they’ve not had an official offer yet.

The move to Everton would mean Coady is closer to his family who still live on Merseyside and would see him team back up with Kevin Thelwell.

Wolves in advanced talks for Chelsea forward

Wolves are reportedly in advanced talks for Michy Batshuayi on a season-long loan from Chelsea according to Sky Sports News  and TalkSPORT.

Chelsea are desperate to get Batshuayi off the books this season and is not part of Tuchel’s plans.

The 28-year-old most recently spent time out on loan at Besiktas where he scored 14 goals.

Chelsea are said to be happy to pay some of his wages.

Wolves reject second bid from Nottingham Forest for Gibbs White

Nottingham Forest have now had at least two offers rejected by Wolves for Morgan Gibbs-White according to the Athletic.

The latest offer came after Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis intervened to hold discussions with senior counterparts at Molineux.

Wolves expect Forest to submit a third bid for Gibbs White said to be in the region of £30m.

Wolves’ stance is that he is still not for sale and it would take a bid north of £30m to change that.

Barcelona willing to let Gonzalez leave on loan

Barcelona are now reportedly open to loaning out midfielder according to Sport.

Nico Gonzalez and Wolves are the team who have shown the most interest.

Other reports suggest that Barcelona aren’t willing to let him go until the January window.

The powerful 20-year-old could provide Wolves with midfield reinforcements that they desperately need.
