Wolves Transfer Rumours – November 6

Nuno wants AC Milan forward Rafael Leao

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is reportedly a target for Wolves and the club made ‘an approach’ for the 21-year-old in the summer according to Calciomercato.

It’s said that Nuno would like Leao at Wolves but Milan are reluctant to let the Portuguese forward go who’s had an impressive start to the season for AC Milan, scoring four and assisting three in 11 games.

The 21-year-old, who has been previously linked with Wolves is a strong and direct wide forward who can also play through the middle as a centre forward but is most effective coming in off the left.

Striking an uncanny resemblance to former Wolves man Ivan Cavaleiro, Leao impressed at his previous club Lille and has really kicked on this season in Milan.

Tiago Fernandes, a coach at Sporting where Leao started his career told French newspaper L’Équipe that in his opinion the player was better than Cristiano Ronaldo at the same stage.

He’d be a major coup for Wolves but unless one of Wolves’ wide-men left then a deal would be unlikely – especially with Milan’s suspected asking price.

Cutrone looking increasingly likely to return to Wolves

Patrick Cutrone looks set to return to Wolves at the end of his loan spell at Fiorentina. Cutrone had moved to the Italian side on loan with an obligation to make the move permanent if Cutrone made a certain amount of starts.

However, Cutrone has only started 11 games and needs to have started 26 for the transfer to be made permanent for £16 million.

If Cutrone does return to Molineux, it’s extremely unlikely he will be there for long as the club will look to offload him as soon as they can as he’s not in Nuno’s plans.

Wolves looking at Reading’s Liam Moore

Wolves are reportedly among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Reading centre-back Liam Moore. Leicester, West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Southampton are also said to be interested in the 27-year-old after his impressive start to the 2020/21 campaign according to Team Talk.

Wolves scouting Djed Spence

Wolves are reportedly among a number of clubs interested in Middlesbrough’s Djed Spence. The 20-year-old attacking full-back is also attracting interest from Everton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
