Wolves linked with a move for Bernardeschi
Wolves have today been linked with a move for Juventus’ Federico Bernardeschi according to Gazzetta Italia. Juventus are looking to offload players to try and generate some cash for transfers in a week that’s seen them release both Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain – both who have been linked with a move to Molineux.
Bernardeschi can play on the right of midfield and can even play just behind the striker meaning he fits Wolves’ persona for potential targets. The Italian has played 38 times for Juventus this season scoring twice and assisting twice.
Bernardeschi will no doubt be touted as part of a move that would see Raul Jimenez go the other so buckle up Wolves fans.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles tipped for Wolves move
Wolves have reportedly registered their interest in Arsenal’s Ainsley Maitland-Niles according to Sky Sports. It’s believed that Arsenal will listen to offers in the region of £20m.
Maitland-Niles played 32 times for Arsenal last season but Mikel Arteta sees offloading the versatile full-back as a good option to generate funds. He also fits the mould for the type of player Wolves and Nuno like. Maitland-Niles can play both left-back and right-back and is competent in the middle of the park too and at just 22-years-old, he’s got the potential to develop and grow into a more polished player.
Wolves eyeing Abdoulaye Doucoure
Wolves are eyeing a move for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure according to the Evening Standard. The combative French midfielder wants to continue playing in the Premier League and is forcing a move away from relegated Watford.
It’s though that Watford won’t entertain anything less than £25 million for the midfielder with Everton already failing with a £15 million bid.
The 27-year-old was one of the few shining lights in Watford’s dreadful season that saw the club relegated to the Premier League which of course, was a real shame.
Palhinha close to a move to Wolves
Longstanding Wolves transfer target Joao Palhinha looks set to put pen to paper and join Wolverhampton Wanderers according to reports coming from a reputable source in Portugal, TV124.
It was thought earlier in the week that CKSA Moscow had hijacked Palhinha’s move to Molineux but his move to the Midlands looks to be back on with a fee of around £14 million being enough to secure the 6ft3 midfielder’s signature.
Palhinha had been on loan at Braga where he’s been very impressive this season but his parent club Sporting Clube de Portugal want to cash in on him. At 25, Palhinha still has his best years ahead of him and has demonstrated the attributes this season to be a success in the Premier League – possessing a good range of passing and defensive skills.
Ocampos sinks Wolves and is then linked with a move to Molineux
Lucas Ocampos dumped Wolves out of the Europa League just days ago and is now being linked with a move to Molineux according to Sky Sports. The reports suggest that Wolves have identified Ocampos as a direct replacement for Adama Traore should any club meet Wolves’ valuation of the Spaniard.
Ocampos has a release clause of £62 million and with Sevilla winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League, it’s extremely unlikely Ocampos would entertain a move to Molineux.
