As reported first by Talking Wolves, Chiqiunho has suffered a serious injury and could see him sidelined for some time.

Chiquinho, who scored in the 3-0 pre-season win over Burnley yesterday is rumoured to have suffered a ruptured ACL in the game.

Chiquinho will be out for between 6-9 months and will have to go through an extensive rehabilitation program to get back to full fitness.

Speaking to Talking Wolves, Chiquinho’s management team confirmed that he had suffered the injury yesterday and he will be having surgery next week in the UK.

Chiquinho is said to be extremely gutted about the injury but believes he can come back stronger and continue to show his talent.

It’s a massive blow for Wolves and Chiquinho, who was one of few shining lights towards the end of the season.
