Sporting’s Matheus Nunes is tempted to stay at the Portuguese club for at least another season to increase his value according to A Bola.
It’s understood that Wolves are yet to table a bid for Nunes and this would only happen by generating funds from the sale of Ruben Neves, who looks increasingly likely to stay at Molineux this season.
A Bola also report that Wolves were looking at a deal for Nunes’ team mate and long standing target Joao Palhinha but his move to Fulham is all but done. With that in mind, Sporting feel less pressured to sell Nunes, having sold Palhinha.
Previously dubbed by Pep Guardiola as one of ‘the best players in the world’, Nunes would need a huge amount of convincing to join Wolves, with the player stating he would only move to ‘fight for titles’.
This may be a consistent theme throughout the window as players of such calibre may need some convincing to join Wolves – without the prospect of European football.
